Thank you Maggi and Peter.
The labels & captions are very helpful, but can anyone please put a name to Chris Lilley's viola?
So many well grown plants (trilliums, paris, primulas, cyclamen ...) are a reminder of how puny my own efforts are :P
But banning (mini)gnomes etc. (Class 22) seems like excessive good taste ;)

That lovely viola was, I can see from it's card, in Class 45, for 1pan non-bulbous plant grown from seed - I'll see if anyone can help with it's name.

It was labelled Viola altaica
-
Thank you both.
-
Several replies on facebook saying it was V. altaica - including from Chris Lilley himself, who confirmed it was Viola altaica sown September 2022.

Don Peace took this official photo of Frank Hoyle and his Forrest Medal winning Androsace villosa kosopolyanskii. Hexham show 2024. Shows just how big this plant is!
