Title: Rose Of Yunnan
Post by: SueG on March 23, 2009, 05:47:27 PM
A colleague at work has just had one of these given for a birthday present and can find out nothing about it beyond the description  at Acton-Beauchamp-Roses.  Has anyone any knowledge of the plant or it's likely scientific name? I don't know enough about roses to be able to say much that's useful. They've not yet had any additional info back rom the nursery.
Thanks very much
Sue

Sue, I think this may be a form of Rosa soulieana.

There are several types, including Rosa soulieana var yunnanensis, but I think the nearest to the one your colleague has is Rosa soulieana var microphylla
Hope that is some help!
