Helleborus seeds
« on: January 06, 2013, 03:55:04 PM »
I look for seeds from some Helleborus species. I know some of them are quite rare, but I hope some have seen them in the wild or grow them in the garden.

abruzzicus
atrorubens
bocconei
cyclophyllus
multifidus var.hercegovinus (Wild collected)
orientalis sp.abchasicus
torquatus  (wild collected)

I could help with plants FS or older seedlings of some species. All seeds are in soil.

We have had good seed from Tom Mitchell  and I know others have had also.
He is away a lot, travelling, of course.
Did your friends contact him directly about their problems?
He's a forumist  and so could be contacted via PM.

edit to add note and link
In the past  we know Tom has had frustrating problems with his website, too!

Yann,

I ordered only once from Tom, but I received very good seeds and I received them very promptly and correctly. Your friends should contact him again!!

My experience  too is that he is really good person to deal with. But if you want something it would be best to email first as he may be sold out of the things you want as he tries to sell seed fresh. Hellebores and snowdrop seed is best sown promptly.
