Back issues of "the Rock Garden" offered

Michael Scott from Stroma Wester Ross in North West Scotland has back issues of "the Rock Garden"  offered for coast of postage or for collection.
Michael wrote :

Hi, there. As we are downsizing into a new house, I am having to reduce my journals and books. I have a set of THE ROCK GARDEN from Vol XVI Part 2 of the old JOURNAL (issue 63), September 1978, to Vol XXVI Part 2, number 104, June 1999, which I make 42 copies in total, at a quick count, complete with the index to volumes XVIII-XXIII (70-93) from June 1994. I inherited them from my late father-in-law, Peter Hainsworth of Achnashellach.
 
Do you think anyone might like these copies for the cost of postage?  Alternatively, if someone fancies a trip to the north-west Highlands they could uplift them for free and I'm sure we could offer a cup of coffee and a quick tour of our developing garden here as reward!

I'm hanging on to the back numbers since I joined in 2008 or so, which are full of tantalising articles, and always look forward to the latest issue thumping through the post-box.

For Garry, or anyone interested, the combined back issues weigh about 6.3kg before packaging.  I believe that would cost £15.92 to send by ParcelForce Express 48 within the UK.  If Garry or anyone wants copies sent outside the UK, let me know and I'll find a box of the right size, then, when I have its measurements, get a quote online from one of the international carriers - but expect the postage to be hefty in every sense!

And for anyone contemplating a visit to pick up the back issues, I'm in North Strome, which is just outside Lochcarron in Wester Ross (not the island of Stroma, Maggi!!!).

Apologies, I should have posted before now that the back issues have gone to a good home in Canada (via the member's Mum in Devon, who is going to post copies to him in tantalising batches from time to time, so he can retain the excitement of new copies arriving regularly in the transatlantic post!).  I am delighted they are being appreciated, rather than recycled!

Got a telephone call last night from a lady, having recently lost her husband to Cancer, asking if I could help in the disposal of her late husbands Primula collection. I went over this afternoon and found a greenhouse crammed with P. marginatas and pubescens many of which had not been tended for a long time and some that, after a bit of TLC, should thrive. The lady was quite upset and there were some tears as we loaded plants into the trays I had taken with me and stacked them in all the available spaces in my car. Some I shall keep and others I shall tidy up and re-pot and put them on the sales table at a local group meeting in the hope that I raise a few quid to add to the donation I made to Cancer Research and some will go on the compost heap as they are beyond even TLC.

In addition to plants she asked if I could also dispose of her husband's collection of SRGC and AGS Journals and these too accompanied me home. So, the following SRGC Journals, are available to anyone interested for the not insubstantial cost of postage these days and a small additional donation to Cancer Research would be nice.
