Latest News from New Zealand Alpine Garden Society 2013
« on: March 23, 2013, 02:19:38 PM »

NZAGS have had some super displays at the Ellerslie International Flower Show  over the years and this year they have had a "supreme" success! The Ellersie Team has won a Gold Award and the Supreme Award for Horticultural Excellence at the Show, which was held from 6th to 10th March 2013.

The NZAGS website says ' This year's theme was "Plant Portraits - the Art of Plants" featuring a gallery of potted plants chosen for their flowers, foliage or form, each pot framed as if in an art gallery against a black background. The quirky captions and props were an added inspiration from the team!'

From the Ellerslie Show website (  http://www.ellerslieflowershow.co.nz/ ) comes this comment:

Supreme Award for Horticultural Excellence –
NZ Alpine Garden Society
The Judges said: “This display was an immaculate collection of plants with faultless presentation.  A display that invites you in, showing a real passion for plants with a touch of honour.”

Congratulations, NZAGS!!
