inserting photo's
« on: February 20, 2019, 02:05:34 PM »
Hi,
Could someone please explain to me how to insert images ?
I've found the 'attachments and other options'.
I used the browse and selected the image on my comp. It shows the photo title after browse, so it has selected it.
But then what? how do I actually get that into the post. i've tried insert image tab.
Being an old dinosaur, I'm stuck.
The photo has been reduced in size, so isn't too large.
Help  ::)

Hi Phil,  Have a look at this  section of the forum - http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?board=1.0  you should fine some help there.
Basically,  click the attachment button and  browse on your  machine to find the photo you want to insert and off you go! Up to 5 image per post.
Sounds like you have already  cracked it -  after  that you simply click post  and the image will appear with your post.

First step, insert your written text into the white comment box.

Next click the 'Attachments and other options' line and you will see:

Click Chose File and select the photo you want from your desktop. You will see the file name appear in place of 'No File Chosen.

If you hit post at this point, your photos will all appear at the end of your post.

You can change the 'End-of-post-expandable-thumbnail' by clicking on the down arrow. Position your cursor at the point in the post you want the photo to appear and then change the 'End-of-post-expandable-thumbnail' to 'Inline full size image' this positions the photo at the point you place the cursor.

It is up to you how you arrange the photos within or at the end of the post

I hope this helps.

Further to Ingrid's excellent explanation  .... thanks Ingrid!

....to post a photo -  images only appear when the  final "post" button is clicked. ( i.e. not in preview )

inline full size image ..... looks like this

end of post  expandable thumbnail  - will appear  after the line ....

Hi,
Thanks to both of you.
That is obviously what I was doing wrong.
I was clicking preview to see if it had worked. Not being aware it didn't work until posted (last forum I used they showed in preview).
I'll get posting and see.

Thanks :D
