unknown Cistus
« on: April 22, 2014, 11:46:57 AM »
We saw this wonderful shrub, about 3tf by 3ft on Sunday.  The owner said it came from Kew and it has white flowers but I just love the ruffled frilly leaves.  Any ideas which one it is?

I spotted this plant in your  post, Shelagh and I've been puzzling about it.
I wonder if it may be Cistus populifolius subsp. major ?

That species has the wavy-edged leaves and the plant in your photo seems to have quite large leaves so, that's my guess.
