Does anyone grow G. e. Hercule? Is it as large as described? Does it stand out?

I don't recall seeing it anywhere, but if you want large you need to hang on for GC8 or Glenorma as it has been named.  You could have bid on it at the Mid Anglia Bulb Sale...

You can see it here

If you went to the Gala when the visit was to Glen Chantry it was the one that everyone was talking about as GC8 (I think), I don't know the measurements as this was not my plant.

Mark Brown in France, who named Hercule, is an experienced bulb grower of repute - if he thinks it looks like a leek, that's good enough for me - I've bought one - watch this space!

I now know the plant. I was in Simons house when Mark produced the plant. Matt was sitting on the floor and the leaves almost touched his head

Now Wim, you know that I am a very sensible person........... ::)

I bought a bulb of 'Hercule' - I love the idea of a huge snowdrop that obviuosly wants to be a leucojum - and a 'Trumps' for Ian !  :o ;D ;)
Only two - I thought that very restrained :)
