Crocus in the sand plunge in the green house
« on: October 09, 2013, 10:01:24 AM »
I'm happy to see Crocus niveus flowering again in the sand plunge in the green house. When I was clearing pots in summer 2012 I put some bulbs in the sand - Colchicums, Alliums and Gymandiris. Cant remember how to spell the latter. They flowered also.

I have some autumn flowering Crocus that need to be planted asap and was thinking of planting them in the sand also where autumn wind and rain will not ruin them. What do you think?

That sounds like a good plan Mark.
