New daffodil book pdf
« on: November 12, 2013, 12:41:35 PM »
Those of us waiting for a new definitive monograph on Narcissi have something to keep us going. The author of this book, failing to find a publisher, has made it open access as a pdf.  Full of interesting and valuable information - I have only just seen it and not read it yet, but it looks well worth reading if you are a daffanatic like me.

This is a most interesting and useful move by the American Daffodil Society :

"The American Daffodil Society is proud to provide this eBook with permission of the author.  More eBooks will be made available in the future.

Yellow Fever, A Prospect of the History and Culture of Daffodils, 2012, by David Willis

Had a scan through this at the weekend and there's a lot of info in there. Looks like a useful resource for any narcissus nut.  :)

Anne thanks for sharing the link.
This book is a bible and a must have for any daffodils nut.

As many technical and specialised books, the range of readers is limited as well as the editor's profits.
