Rhodothamnus chamaecistus
« on: February 19, 2014, 10:42:56 PM »
I have received some seed of Rhodothamnus chamaecistus from the NARGS seedex. I grew a plant of this for many years in a warmish spot in my chalky garden soil but never tried it from seed, and really think of it growing in a peaty soil that happens to have some lime around. I tried Shortia seed from Gothenburg last year and have had no germination so far so not keen on sterilised peat or sphagnum techniques. Any advice welcome.
