Yes, it is one of few autumn flowering lilies.

Interesting, but then, how does it multiply? I guess there's no time for it to set seed.

I've read that this species is not fully hardy. Is it cultivated in pots?

I've grown it in the garden in the Pacific NW USA.  But the soil does not usually freeze here.  In this climate, it sets seedpods very late, and they are attacked by botrytis when the rains come in Fall.  To collect seed, I grow them in the greenhouse.  This is also necessary for formosanum, speciosum, alexandrae and nobilissimum.

I grow mine in a pot placed outside from April to November/December. Rest of the year in my green house.
