Hello,
Can anybody put a name on this Greek campanula?
Pictured on 8 th May, on the road from Katara Pass to Kalambarka, about 25 miles before Kalambarka.

Thanks Maggie for your help, but I am not convinced - it did not look annual to me.
What about a giant hawkinsoniana?

Hmm, but ramosissima does make good clumps I believe..... but I agree that
Campanula hawkinsiana
is another possibility if you felt it was not an annual .

Given the location this is most probably Campanula hawkinsiana. The MESE expedition in 1999 collected seed of this from the Katara Pass. It's a lovely thing, seeds around gently in the garden and is usually biennial.
