Unknown iris
« on: June 08, 2014, 05:31:24 AM »
I bought this iris labelled as Iris mandschurica.  However, it appears it is not, as Iris mandschurica is yellow with a yellow beard and brown markings on the falls:

Any idea what I have?  Thanks in advance for any info.

Very nice, Lori. Looking a little taller than I might expect  (- but that's nothing to fret about)- and with less scimitar like leaves - but probably a form of Iris suaveolens.   :-\

Thank you very much, Maggi.  It certainly does appear to be that.

A lot of these Iris are very confusing to me  :-[  I have  a couple I cannot remember the names of - luckily (  ::) :-X  ) they don't flower much, so it's not often an issue for me!
