Rainbow Rose
« on: April 19, 2014, 10:53:07 PM »
An Easter bouquet from my grandchildren included this amazing rose.

When I was a child I would put white flowers into a bottle of ink to change their colour.

I can't figure out how this was done, though.  Each petal is a different colour.

Hi Diane,

See:

amazing - says split the stem, put different bits in different inks - Google image search reveals lots of these roses when you search for "multicolored roses"

Thanks, David.

I googled and I am dizzy from a screenful of them.

The kids and I will have fun making our own.

One would assume that once the multicoloured rose was made, the stem would be cut to hide the trick? 8)

I pulled it out of the bouquet, and you're right.  The evidence was
chopped off.

Well, that's a bit of a cheat.  Maybe the rest of the instructions will follow?
