This should have gone in June but I am to lazy to get down to resizing and posting at the time the pictures are taken.
The first three pictures are of Rh. Crassum with a gorgeous scent.  The plant is about 3 metres high and growing among bamboo !

The Echiums were rather splendid.  I suppose the Rh.maybe should be under the Rhododendron section but........... too much hassle separating them.

Culzean are rather remiss at naming plants and especially Rhododendrons.  I spoke to the gardener about this and he said he was given a book on identification and told to go round naming them.  However, they had an "expert" looking at them and came to the conclusion that many are really OLD hybrids and the records have been lost decades ago soit would be guesswork.

The Paeonia and Echium are  rather splendid  - but that Rhododendron crassum is gorgeous!!  The flower shape is so elegant.
