Gentiana 'Berrybank Sky' is from the stable of Ian McNaughton  I think. Dr McNaughton has developed a range of autumn gentians which are compact and often long-flowering or re-blooming  plants.    Ian's  family run the marvelous Macplants nursery.

Well the flower count is great on it to say nothing of the colour saturation, rather a rare thing for good reds to have 11? flowers on this side of the pond.

There all  quite lovely especially 'Quest' with its white centrals and N. peersii. Couldn't one get into trouble hybridizing with the latter?

I wonder if there's a seed source for N. peersii?

A seedling opening here today...
