That is a very creditable C. zoysii, Lawrence and I'm afraid that anything that you tried to do to hasten blooming would be detrimental to the plant and it's obvious good health. Sun and sufficient moisture at the roots are it's only requirements at this time and we exhibitors know the frustrations of having a special plant that just misses a show. Perhaps you will be lucky and enough flowers will open to make that long trip more than worthwhile, the opposition in the junior sections probably couldn't compete with a well grown zoysii in partial flower.
