Hi, I've been given the chance to publish a regular column on the P&J website. It's basically a mission to get ordinary gardeners growing the rare, interesting and unusual, hopefully from seed, and to realise that there are plenty of special plants they can grow once they get over the fear barrier!

Hi Chris,

This  is a super development for the P&J website.  Your very readable style will be a great  introduction to the unusual plants you are  writing about and will, I hope,  prove a  popular column.

It is seldom that plants other than the regular garden centre stock are properly featured in the mainline press and your obvious enthusiasm for plants and your"campaign" to get people trying such plants from seed is one that deserves to succeed and gain a large audience.

Well done - and good luck!

Don,t forget that there are many of our own native plants that are garden worthy and suited to our climate. I live in the "soft south" and grow quite a few from seed if I can get it. One of my uncles worked for the P&J.
