Cheers, Lawrence - hope you're not too much a shadow of your former self when we "see " you next!  :-*

From a Saxifrage rich but starving Lawrence
Just how many did you buy? - I don't have that many but the very red one Aberconway had at the front of their stand was a must to acquire

2 bags of plants mainly P.Allionii and the biggest Broadwell Milkmaid I have seen in a while and a bag of Rhodohypoxis/Rhodoxis

Well I think 26 Saxifrages 😳, so I think I now have in excess of 140 varieties😊, and I still have Prague to go!!!!!!

Hi
I have added my formal photos of the show to the AGS forum now here: http://www.alpinegardensociety.net/discussion/atshows/Loughborough+Show+/20070/

These include photos of a number of Anne Wright's lovely little yellow babies - this is Narcissus Fringella Group which won a Certificate of Merit.

Great to buy so many saxs, Lawrence, but when are you going to show them? The Saxifraga Group salver was not awarded to the best Saxifrage  on the bench, but to the only Saxifrage on the bench. Even then, I would probably not have awarded it - I can say that because it was my plant!

Peter, looking at the photo  of your plant  by Jon on this page, I would think it  will take a good few years' growth for Lawrence to get to your show standard!  I'll bet he'll be working on it though!  8)

It was a great show, but did miss the bacon butties (and the carrot cake!), but the refreshments stall did a great job.
The Novice section especially was outstanding, I thought. I particularly liked the pots simply labelled 'Daffodil' and 'Snowdrop' - it made me smile.

Not sure what Lawrence was showing today - but see here  for his haul of awards at the SRGC/AGS Kendal show:
