Sunday Fun Day!
13th March 2016

To celebrate Women in Science week this Sunday come join our  activities in the University of Dundee Botanic Garden during our Sunday Fun Day!  This will include talks, tours and experiments suitable for all the family.

Botanist and Education Officer, Dr Neil Paterson will provide tours where you can discover more about the Garden and the plants which grow here from around the world. Tours will run at 11.30am and 1.30pm and will be bookable on the day at the Botanic Garden reception.

Children’s author and science communicator and educator, Emily Dodd, will host a storytelling session with her books ‘Can’t Dance Cameron’ and ‘The Grouse and The Mouse’ which teach youngsters aged 3-8 about Scottish wildlife and plants.

The event also features female scientists from the University of Dundee who will showcase hands-on experiments including learning and extracting DNA from fruits and plants.
