Gaylussacia baccata near Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia

One of the great autumn joys of Nova Scotia is the firey red Gaylussacia baccata against the lichen-covered granite boulders of the coastal headlands over-looking the Atlantic near Peggy's Cove.  Spent the day wandering there with Philip MacDougall who was drawn back to his native province for the fireworks.

Collected lots of berries and will send seed to the seedex.  Has anyone sprouted Gaylussacia? Kristl perhaps?

Yes, magnificent.
The only other species I've seen with the same fall colour in northern Ontario is Vaccinium angustifolium.
