North Berwick in Bloom Team gain more success
« on: September 15, 2016, 03:44:59 PM »
Congratulations to North Berwick in Bloom Team  for their success in winning the Keep Scotland Beautiful Rosebowl for their efforts  in the Beautiful Scotland  events!!

Regular readers of the Forum will  know of their  magnificent efforts  not only in making North Berwick an even nicer place to live and visit  but also for their  work  with schools etc and with  The Caley, at Gardening Scotland.

What a great  bunch they are - some faces will be familiar in the photo, I think....

Far left is Stan da Prato - most famous in SRGC for his show exhibits and reports (- trust me, that is but the tip of the iceberg of the things with which Stan is involved) and far right, George Anderson, who may be known to a TV audience from his appearances on the Beechgrove Garden show.(George is another fellow with many strings to his bow, including being the Hon. President of the Caley!)

Beautiful Scotland celebrates 50 years of success

"The highlight of the event was the presentation of the prestigious 2016 Beautiful Scotland Rosebowl. The Award was presented to North Berwick in Bloom for receiving the highest overall marks out of all 2016 entrants, for the third time. North Berwick in Bloom was commended for its consistently excellent initiatives which saw the group take steps towards being more environmentally friendly, actively involve the wider community and work with the business community."
