Joint Rock Garden Plant Committee - Plant Awards Supplement
« on: September 22, 2014, 08:47:37 PM »
Previously JRGPC awards were regularly written up from time to time in 'The Alpine Gardener', the journal of the Alpine Garden Society  - from now on their  plan is to publish a these reports as a  dedicated Supplement.
AGS News stated  that this supplement will be published in December but will only be available to those who order it specially and only the number of copies ordered by the end of October will be printed.
Prices are £8 for UK  AGS members and £11 for overseas members (to allow for £3 postage). AGS News  says that ordering will be possible online.  I am at a loss to find any such route to ordering the supplement on this site and others have  found the same difficulty.

I have asked on the AGS site for clarification of this situation.  It would be a great shame if the print run of the supplement were to be jeopardised by this confusion. Online ordering is very simple and convenient for many of us, I think and many may be waiting to order online or just not aware as yet that that does not seem possible.  If you are interested in securing a copy I suggest you  make an effort to send in your request by post or contact Pershore to see if they can help.

If anyone gets an answer, please let us know so we can post the information here. An individual reply does not help the wider membership.

Well done, Ivan - that seems to be the link - might I ask how you found it? I, and others, have been working our way around the Books and Publications pages for days trying to find it!

Or perhaps it has just appeared - as has happened before!

It is very possible that it has just appeared on the website Maggi after your emails.

I found it in the general alpine titles section of the bookshop, at the top.

Yes, I've found the route now, too, Ivan . There was no such route earlier.

Good that members will now be able to order the supplement and ensure their copy. Pity  these things can be so hard to come by.

Does anyone have spare issues of the  AGS Plant Awards Supplements - of which I believe there are at least three - for sale?
