Thank you, it is nice to see that many people share the same enthusiasm and passion.
I have to admit that I did spend a `little`bit of my savings in some hours, but I think it was totally worth it ;D

And Maggi you might have overlooked the blue freckles (wich is a nobilis) and the henryi alba plena  ;)

The lectures at satureday were very interesting aswell, Samantha Spendlove talked about the Ashwood Hepatica collection and different journeys to see different Hepaticas in their habitat. She showed great photos. She also showed photos of H. falconeri what was very interesting.
Andreas Händel talked about his breeding work and the stunning severin-series he was abeld to breed from a mother plant he got from Severin Schlyter.
Gunhild Poulsen was swell talking about her great breeding work the noblisxjaponica she showed were incredibly beautiful. Obviously she is a very talented breeder.
Gunther Kleinhans talked about his journeys to Japan and the japanese Hepatica exhibitions aswell as about the breeding work in Japan in general.

A very informative satureday.  ;D

A very informative saturday indeed - and one you have been kind to share with us.  8)

Yes, I must admit, I was SO mesmerised by the fabulous japonicas I quite overlooked the nobilis ' Blue Freckles' and the henryi alba plena     :-[ :-[

Thank you very much Ian, to be honest I did not ask for the price. They were so many of them and I think they would be very different. But for example kagura was sold for about 50 €. Sure there were way more special japonicas and even if its hard to estimate I think from the point of view of a collector or a serious seller some of them could sure cost up to 500 €.
The most of the show-plants were relatively old already so the price propbably already decreased. Gunther Kleinhans, one of thouse who did a talk, told us about the price-conditions in Japan. He told us about a lovely Hepatica japonica with white outer Petals and deep blue inner petals that just covered the middle of the flower (he showed great pictures). Its price in the first year it was presented to the `outside World`it did cost about 9000 €. He asked the breeder again some years later and its price was about 1800 €. Sure this is still much money but the price dropped rather clearly. So one as a `normal gardener`or also as a enthousiast that is not sitting on money should always wait if one is patient enough.
To come back to the plants on the pictures I showed. I think if you, or somebody else really wanted to buy one clone of them it is defenitely possible. But you will still have spend a relatively huge amount of money. Some are lucky and are abeld to swap with the collectors, wich also is a very good possibility to obtain plants like this.
Even if I could not give you a clear price I hope I could answer your question more or less suitable Ian.  :)
