White Erythronium dens canis?
« on: December 20, 2016, 12:34:17 PM »
I have bought these as E.dens canis 'Pink Perfection', but obviously they are something else when they flowered for the first time last spring. Any idea of the name for these?

Given that they were not what they were supposed to be, 'White Imperfection' might be an appropriate name.  Sorry; I'm sure somebody helpful will be along in a minute.
Almost in Scotland.

It is not 'Pink Perfection' I suspect it is an un-named seedling. In my experience there are a lot of mixed stock of Erythronium dens canis cultivars out there, I tend to just apply the species name to them.
We have raised plants from seed that  display a wide range of colours from the darkest purple to pure white - they are all beautiful.

Thank you Ian. :)
These were very pretty, and I hope they will start to multiply in years to come. Someone ate the flowers shortly after this picture was taken so sadly I didn't get any seeds from them.
