If this is what I think it is, then we have only waited 21 years to see it in flower in this garden.
Typical that it flowers just as we have put the house on the market.

Sternbergia lutea var. angustifolia
Last year we didn't get a single bloom on the potted bulbs. Probably lack of suitable baking. Since moving them into the covered rockery, they are doing well.
