Asphodelus + Asphodeline 2018
« on: May 09, 2018, 05:19:33 AM »
Two my surprise Asphodeline taurica and damascena have been started to flower at the same time and looking nearly identical. How can I Keep them apart or do I have just one of the species?

Hi Stefan,
I had the same problem but looking at your pics there does to be a slight difference. It's probably some minute botanical detail which we can't see that separates them :-\
I ended up growing them in different parts of the garden to isolate them (though a bee could easily traverse the distance)
cheers

I did not know it before and planted them in the same area.

Asphodeline lutea is easier to keep and to determine. It is growing for at least 20 years at the same place.
