From Cambo Gardens :

After 2 years, we are excited to host our Spring Plant and Garden Market to raise money for the Charity Scotland's Gardens Scheme.

Sunday 10th April from 11am-3pm.

Garden entry £3 and the proceeds go to the Charity.

In addition, we will host a range of stalls from local plant nurseries and businesses who will be selling their plants and products with the stall fees going to Scotland's Gardens Scheme.

Who has a stall?

The Plant Market selling Scottish-grown plants from Scottish suppliers and nurseries showing committment to supporting and promoting Scottish horticulture and all it has to offer.

Rumbling Bridge Nurseryare a family run business based in Kinross who specialise in Alpine plants, woodland plants and shrubs.

Cambo Grown plants. We propagate plants from our extensive collections in the gardens and will have the best seasonal selection available to buy – and quite a few bargains too! All sales support our social enterprise and learning programmes.

East Neuk Footprint who are a charity based in the East Neuk of Fife. They will be highlighting local tree planting initiatives and hands on activities. Their aims are to encourage sustainable living, reduce the carbon footprint of local communities, and reconnect people with the natural world.

Websters Honey are a business whose purpose is to save the bee population. Businesses, such as us here at Cambo Gardens, can adopt a hive. We are very excited to be one of the businesses soon to be hosting their hives and on Sunday they will be here with their observation hive which they take into schools with lots of hands-on activities to educate everyone about the importance of bees.

Blue Earth Clean Laundry Leaves based in Elie, Fife is another local business tackling Climate Change issues. The create sustainable, eco-friendly all-in-one laundry detergent sheets to replace capsules, liquids and powder and eliminate washing gimmicks.

In addition to these stalls we will also have a range of new gardening products from the shop here at Cambo. As it’s the season to get out into your gardens we have stocked up on the essentials that you will need. We have a new range of gardening tools, from spades to hand trowels, gardening knives, secateurs, brushes and much more. We have also got a new range of Peat-free wool-based compost which we use here at Cambo Gardens for sale so you can try it at home... we love it! We have a selection of the gardeners go-to books for sale in the gift shop alongside a new range of seeds and pots to get you ready for the gardening season ahead.

We will also be running craft activities inspired by our current ‘Loving Earth’ exhibition. We have 30 textile pieces on display here in the shop at the Visitors Centre and we will be running a create and craft session where visitors can create their own piece of art in response to Climate Change issues.

Hope to see you all there and of course, we have the fantastic cafe to keep you going throughout the day, selling homemade fresh healthy vegetarian and vegan meals and cakes with a great cup of coffee alongside.
