Narcissus June 2018
« on: June 16, 2018, 01:47:37 PM »
Winter is the real start of the "Hoop Season"!
Here is a single white hoop which appeared in a pot with something else, so not sure if it is a seedling or a stray!
cheers

In the garden these white hoops are most likely one of Glenbrook Bulb Farm's hybrids

A tazetta from Lawrence Trevanion in Canberra:
Narcissus 09/18T (First Stanza x ?)
The obvious damage on the buds is not from slugs but from red-legged earth mites (Halotydeus destructor) - they really are destructive!
cheers

Message from Anne Wright re Dryad summer list :

"We're sorry our summer list will be delayed this year because of family illness. I hope it will be ready by early July."

I'm sure we all understand Anne's situation  and will be  patient.

Fermi, beautiful pictures. these are really interesting, I love this group of Narcisi, hoop petticoat are one of my favorites and they really match our climate.  I'm saving some money to buy  some new ones next Autumn, gonna buy myself a colection of Narcissus ahah!
