Verbascum epixanthinum
« on: September 06, 2018, 09:02:56 PM »
Apologies to anyone who grew a Verbascum labelled epixanthinum from the 2016/2017 SRGC seed Exchange and was disappointed or puzzled by the result.  I have a number of self sown seedlings coming up ( mainly in the paths ).  They all look to be hybrids with Verbascum phoeniceum.  One growing in a bed has been very floriferous and has produced many secondary flower shoots from the base.  Another two are flowering and a fourth has a flower stem developing.  They have all been pink.  I think they are sterile.
