african bulb ?
« on: May 22, 2019, 05:51:09 AM »
I got this flower after 4 years of cultivation, a mixture of bulb plant seeds from Plant Word Seeds.

an Iridaceae? hybrid or botanical?
the foliage resembles that of Freesia laxa

Looks like Schizostylis coccinea (syn Hesperantha).
Vigorous and will spread quickly - but definitely worth having.

I'd say Tritonia crocata, but also definitely worth keeping

thank you
yes, rather Tritonia, because I know Schizostylis and this plant is only 30 cm.

all the more interesting because it spent 2 winters outside without protection before blooming. It adapted to my climate..
