Two campanulas and a gentian
« on: July 26, 2019, 09:41:43 AM »
I’ve grown the first campanula from seed and got the second from a friend. Labels lost ... can you help?  The gentian I’m really not sure how I got, but it does this every year end of July ...

I think the  second  campanula, the  little  double, is  C. cohlearifolia 'Elizabeth Oliver'
The  gentian is  probably a  form of  G. septemfida  :-\

Thanks Maggi, I’m even wondering if that first one could be an adenophora?

Your first looks like Campanula tommassiniana.
The plant I've had for some years is not yet in flower but here's an image from 2016.

Hi Dave,
Bingo, yes that’s what it is. Grew it from seed and now you said the name I remember.  All my queries sorted in just a few hours. What. Marvellous facility we have here!
