Trip to Edinburgh

Hi all!

Some friends and me want to do a trip to Edinburgh for 4 or 5 days from 1-7 August 2008 but we are still searching for a small, cheap and clean flat for these days. Also we would like to see and drink something during these days. 

Could you tell me some good bets and maybe also with some nice gardens to see?

Arne, Edinburgh Festival starts on 3 August - forget cheap. Everything small, cheap and clean is probaly booked already!
I would look away from Edinburgh but possibly take day trips in to the Botanics, etc.
