Nice note from Ann and Bob on Facebook about their recent open day :
"Thank you to all the brave visitors that came to visit us at Woodlands yesterday. I thought that there would be not a soul when I woke up and saw the rain but surprise surprise on the dot of 11am in they came. I hope you all enjoyed the garden."

Note from Ann and Bob Armstrong ...
" Bob's garden map is now finished and we are considering how to use it positively. This is a good time to remind you all that we are welcoming visitors provided an appointment is made. We are also offering mail order on plants and we have never been as busy as we are now!"

Ian the Christie Kind has a l ovely Codonopsis , which he has grown for around ten years, but the had no name for it. Christine B. passed the photos to the National Collection Holders of Codonopsis -Bob and Ann Armstrong of Woodland Plants - and Bob has ID'd the plant as
Codonopsis lanceolata
Problem solved by other SRGC members!
Super plant too -

News from Ann and Bob Armstrong at Woodland Plants:
"We decided to have a couple of projects during lockdown (2). The first was to try and eradicate, or at least reduce, the amount of ivy in our garden. As you can see we have a pretty impressive heap that’s built up and the second photo shows Head Gardener skulking behind a sarcococca pulling up more!
Project two was to get our catalogue on our website updated and we’re pleased to announce it is now live. There may be a few others to go on later in the season but essentially it’s done.
