Adonis - annual(s)
« on: November 03, 2020, 10:49:12 AM »
I have in flower at present a few plants of Adonis aestivalis. At least that is what the seed exchange name was.
How does this plant, A. annua, and autumnalis differ. The names suggest flowering times although some are used interchangeably. Mine was so delayed by the long hot dry summer it could well be the summer form/variety/sub species. "It" is listed as invasive on some websites and rare elsewhere.

I can find online photos of green "pods", black pods and brown pods https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Adonis_aestivalis_seeds.jpg How soon can I collect my very green pods?
