Is this Hesperantha vaginata?
« on: September 26, 2021, 12:40:30 AM »
This bulb finally bloomed but doesn't match the pictures on the internet.  Any idea what it might be?
Thanks.

No.
Our old friend Habranthus tubispathus.
The first time I've seen it turn up as a Hesperantha though.

Thank you, Fermi.  A friend gives me seed pots -- he likes the challenge of getting seeds to germinate but doesn't enjoy the growing on as much.  I never know exactly what will show up.   :)

Thanks for the pics, Fermi.  My friend checked his records and it seems likely the seeds came from the 2014-2015 AGS Seed Exchange.
