Ger, is there any chance that the Moschopsis rosulata might be Moschopsis trilobata ?

Thank you, Ger.  I had seen pictures of these plants from the Birks ( in Ireland at the Termonfeckin weekend some years ago, I think!) and I remembered that rosulata had more undulations to the leaf margins than trilobata, which made me ask the question.

Maggie,  the photo of the species I have shown is definately Moschopsis rosulata.
This is confirmed by Martin Sheader, Lars Andersen and Marcela Ferreyra.

It breaks my heart that I have had quite a few of these plants, briefly, from earlier Watson collections (seed) and before MAF and ERMA became nasty. I am heartened by the picture of Calandrinia caespitosa which also shows a healthy dendelion. I can grow dandelions and if it grows where these grow, by implication I could grow these too. QED. But alas, it is NOT D.

LOVE the Moschopsis rosulata...wow!

this one also caught my eye! small rosette plants are among my very favourites--of course that means that the viola kills me!! (violas are another fave category, so this one scores twice)..
and then, all those amazing cushions!

i will be keeping track of a few of these in case i ever see them offered, which brings me to a question:
what kind of minimum low temepratrues does this area have? i'm assuming most of these would be slightly heated cold house plants, for me....

Soils are generally rocky and sandy, poor in fine material and organic matter. Climate is cold
and dry, with some winter snow and frosts at any time. Mean annual temperatures range from
7.0 to 13.4°C, mean minimum temperatures 1.7 to 7.9°C, absolute minimum temperatures -
5.4 to -24.5°C, and annual precipitation ranges from 116 to 422 mm.
