Just highlight Göte's name in a previous post, copy and paste.

Anthony, we had this before somewhere else. You should look that Numlock is on.

edit by M: Yes, we've been through all this... even I understand it know!!!  :P ::)

Without Numlock the numbers on the right side don't work.

Yes we have already said that Num-lock must be on.
Push down the left Alt key and keep it down. Then key in the three figures on the key pad to the right Nothing happens on the screen when you do that. The wanted caracter apperas when you let the Alt-key loose.

Anthony, I have good news to you
Outside your area there is this wonderful invention that is still available.
i understand that you live in the electronic age where it has been abolished.
"Courage my lord" you can smuggle it in, provided that you are clever enough.
It is not more difficult to use than the left Alt key once you have become used to it.
It is called paper. You can copy the ASCII table from Google to it.
Preferably to the tune of the smugglers' song in Carmen.

Actually my desk is covered in the stuff, so I'd never find and extra piece. :P

My screen frame is covered (well nearly) with post-it.
I used to write the codes on the keyboard but those I need now come automatically.
I once had a computer that answered me in a mixture of Swedish, German, Castilian and English.
