This section for Amaryllidaceae- excluding Galanthus and Narcissus
Amaryllidaceae is the botanical name of a family of flowering plants. These plants are herbaceous perennials that grow from bulbs.
You will see in the list below that two genera are highlighted: Galanthus and Narcissus .... this is because these are very popular and widely grown plants. We have decided in the case of Galanthus that it should have its own section.... see here:
http://www.srgc.org.uk/smf/index.php?board=25.0 and that Narcissus should be placed in the "Bulbs General" section of this Forum. In this way we hope that they may easily be found even by a beginner who does not know to which family these plants belong.
