An easter walk near the Neanderthal
« on: April 13, 2009, 11:20:47 AM »
Here are some pics made during a walk in a nature preserve - located inside and around a former limestone quarry. This area is situated a few kilometers from the famous Neanderthal, where the Neanderthaler was found.

1. a cherry twig
2. Viola reichenbachiana and Oxalis acetosella
3. V. reichenbachiana and Ranunculus ficaria
4. The spur of V. reichenbachiana
5. Viola riviniana
6. Viola riviniana reichenbachiana and Anemone nemorosa
7. Viola riviniana - spur
8. + 9. Viola riviniana
10. a surprise

Thanks for sharing those Gerd, I love the shade of blue in Viola rivinina!
Hristo passed away, after a long illness, on 11th November 2018. His support of SRGC was  much appreciated.

Very nice, Gerd.  So what exactly is the surprise at the end?
Cheers.

Gerd, you do like Viola ?? ;D

I hope that the surprise was a signpost to a good Konditorei?  :D

Gerd,
thanks for the beautiful "Osterspaziergang".

Luit,
the surprise - Mister Osterhase - must have been an artist and print worker!
Best wishes

Thank you Paul.
For me it's always a surprise to detect an egg in the woods - especially with a suggestion to visit a restaurant + cafe!  ;)

Luit, unfortunately no Konditorei!
