Did you spot Luc Gilgemyn in David's photos.  In the second one the person on his left is Luc Scheldeman.

Forumists from Belgium and The Netherlands may be posting later.

Still no sign of pictures of them yet  ???. Probably still rowing back on the Channel??  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for worrying about us Luit !!
We did manage the crossing, thank you very much  ;D ;D

I can tell you one thing though this show was well worth the "Hop" !!
Marvelous plants of tremendous quality and quantity - truly amazing !  Well deserved congratulations to David Hoare and his team for this beautifully staged show... and for the Farrer Medal of course !

And obviously it was great to meet some fellow forumists once again...

A really wonderful Show.  Here are a few views of the Show and the plants that took my fancy.

Kent Show 1 - Chris Gifford and in the background Tony Hale.  Tony won the prize for most points in Section C - this followed his triumph at Loughborough.  14 Firsts in only two shows  :) :) :)

Fritillaria carica 'Brun'
Fritillaria crassifolia kurdica
Narcissus cyclamineus
Fritillaria poluninii - sorry for poor photo.  This shows original collection
Fritillaria poluninii - sorry for poor photo.  This shows recent collection - hope I have them round the right way  :-\
Fritillaria striata
Tulipa humilis var alba oculo caerulea

Great job Arthur !

Here are some of mine (photo's that is...  ;D )  - I hope there aren't too many duplications...

First some views of the benches crammed with plants - a sight I can never get enough of...  ;D

Then the 6 pans entry containing the Farrer medal winner ! (David Hoare)

Impressive prize winning 3 pan entries !

More later... I hope..  ;D

I have been enjoying another "walk" among the super plants  at this show  ...again I am struck by the feat achieved by David Hoare in both being the Show Secretary and managing to stage so many fine plants and win the Farrer Medal.... true dedication to the show from every direction, David!
I say again,  Well Done !

Hi Maggi
Thank you for your good wishes, It is a job to enjoy the moment as there is so much to do after judging is compleated. We had Ger & Mariet Van Bauken staying over and we managed a small dram to celebrate.
I have just seen our old Kent Show Secretary and my mentor Eric Jarrett win the Farrer at Exeter. Well done Eric.
Saxifrage just about finished now, look forward to the Silvers flowering.
Best Wishes David

Show Secretary's work is never done.
