Chinese Corydalis
« on: April 21, 2009, 06:31:39 AM »
Hello,

has anybody an idea about the name of this Corydalis:
It is from China, starts to flower now in Austria (which is about 2 weeks earlier than normal), is fully hardy, good grower in semi-shade, overwinters as "bulb" above the ground, is not too difficult from seed.

All the best from Austria

Hi Pauli,
The leaves in particular look like a Corydalis nigro-apiculata I used to have, this species is yellow flowered.
Hristo passed away, after a long illness, on 11th November 2018. His support of SRGC was  much appreciated.

Thanks Hristo,

but I do not think that is right. I came as close as hamata or pseudohamata after a picture in the AGS Bulletin. It is a pity, that one does not know exactly where this plant is from. I regard it as a nice addition to my garden!
Perhaps somebody has another idea!

All the best
