Anemone ranunculoides - little known cultivar
« on: April 22, 2009, 09:47:35 PM »
I bought this little plant as Anemone ranunculoides 'Fuchsis Traum'. The flower is semi-double, with some petals standing out, longer than the others. RHS does not mention this cultivar, I thought that it could possibly be miskakenly identified. Any thoughts, please?

Regards, Barbara.

It certainly looks like Anemone ranunculoides, both in the flower and the foliage. It's a species which varies in nature and there are several named forms or subspecies. I don't know this one though.

Barbara,
Anemone ranunculoides ' Fuchsis Traum ' is offered by Sarastro Stauden/Austria. According the description (in German) this is your plant.
