« on: November 19, 2009, 08:00:36 PM »
it may not be possible to tell from this photo, which i think is a capture from one of those africa live cam sites; a friend was asking for id on behalf of organisers who want to be able to archive the photo accurately..
they thought nerine; it is 'in the Sabi Sands area (near Kruger Nat park) of South Africa'
thks for any tips..

Nerine laticoma but it could be something else

tks, mark, i'll pass along the suggestion... with an image like the one provided, i feel if an id is to be made, it might well be based as much on location as anything, unless there are multiple species there...

It is without doubts a Crinum. To ID it I need something else, leaves, shape...

tks, alberto; yes, not much of a shot; thats why i thought if id were possible, it would be based on location as much as the vague image..
