Beth Chatto's Garden March 2010
« on: March 18, 2010, 04:57:34 PM »
I played truant this morning and went to visit Beth Chatto's garden.  Lots of snowdrops to be seen but the only label was on 'James Backhouse' - presumably if they label them they are more likely to 'walk'.  Season is obviously very late, normally at this time the Erythronium dens-canis are all flowering but only noticed one out today.  The newer woodland area is maturing nicely with hellebores etc clumping up well.

Thanks for playing truant - it is a long time since I visited Beth Chatto's garden.  With the closure of Glen Chantry, my favourite garden to vist, I think a return to Beth Chatto is on the cards.  :)
