Oxalis squamata and O. nahuelhuapensis
« on: May 21, 2010, 09:05:01 PM »
I have seedlings of two South American oxalis species, both from this past winter's AGS seed exchange:

Oxalis nahuelhuapensis, #4228
Oxalis squamata, #4229

I suspect that both lots of seed may be the same species, as the seedlings have identical coloration. However, the putative O. nahuelhuapensis germinated three weeks later than O. squamata though sown on the same day under identical conditions.

I'll just have to wait and see what these look like when they flower, but meanwhile I wonder if anyone has any comment on the matter.
