Angus group
« on: June 12, 2010, 05:36:01 PM »
Today the Angus group celebrated  its 60th birthday with a pot luck lunch at Margaret and Henry Taylors garden. We also celebrated that margaret and Henry have now stood down as Group convenors after about 40 years what a team then it was their Golden Wedding as well this year. The contribution to SRGC and the plant world has been immense they have shared a vast knowledge with members and have raised so many plants over the years which they give away to visitors on open days. I know that it is impossible to say here all the great things they have done over the years but I am sure many of you will have a cherished plant from Margaret and Henry. I am posting some pictures from the day hope you enjoy then, cheers Ian the Christie kind.

Looks like you all had a good time Ian.  All best wishes to the Angus group on surviving in such style for 60 years.

Hi, well as usual Margaret and Henry were very inventive they collected up the carboard boxes and we used them as a table thank goodness we didnt have rain. We did have great fun and President Liz presentd them with a free place at this years Discussion weekend on behalf of SRGC. We knew how much they enjoy meeting everyone at the weekend so this is the best idea hope evryone who comes will have a great time as usual, cheers Ian the Christie kind.
