What is the best general greenhouse temperature for alpines?

Yes I have just bought a solar greenhouse light so I could look into buying a fan. Thanks obviously it is more important than I thought so thanks for saying. Is my question about the thermometer being in a shaded position at bench level a silly one though?

David, if you read what Gote said, in reply 13 on the previous page,  you will see that the actual position of the thermometer isn't so very important because wherever it is there will be  different temps. for the plants, according to their positions etc.. so no, that's not vital.
