Narcissus humilis

I have this on one of my bulb orders this year but I'm confused (again do I hear you say!). According to the catalogue I'm buying from (Wrexham based) this was previously known as Tapeinanthus humilis. So, I would have expected to find it in the RHS Botanical Classification under Section Tapeinanthus but it wasn't there. The only N. humilis I could find was N. humilis Pugsley under Section Pseudonarcissus but it can't be that one? Can someone enlighten my darkness please?

Tapeinanthus humilis = Narcissus humilis = Narcissus cavanillesii (valid name)

The section  Tapeinanthus is o k

If you want to know further (older) names: Carregnoa humilis, Carregnoa lutea and Braxireon humile

The RBG Kew checklist agrees with Gerd - N. cavanillesii is the currently valid name. Kew lists a total of 12 synonyms - rather few by Narcissus standards!

Many thanks Gerd and Gerry.

I had looked in the index to Blanchard and it wasn't mentioned(not the first time I have found the index in Blanchard to be pretty poor!) and after Gerd's prompting I found it in the List of Specific Names but, of course, these do not have page numbers where the species can be found in the main text(not very helpful!). I should have thought about the Kew Check List (must be getting old!)

.... and I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered. Am I being nieve to think that when it is delivered and it gets watered it might flower ???

David,
That is among other things (size etc.) dependent on the treatment of the bulb - if it experienced a warm and dry summer rest you can be optimistic!
